Mikey Ball & The Company Track By Track Rundown of Keep The Fire Burning

MIKEY BALL & THE COMPANY continue to rise with their new single, Warning Signs, out now. The track is taken from their upcoming album, Keep The Fire Burning, due Thursday 24th September. Rooted in heartland and classic rock, the band have crafted an album that warrants your attention. We exclusively spoke to Mikey and asked him for a track by track breakdown of the album:

WARNING SIGNS
How many red flags did you ignore? This explosive track really leans on the frustrating honesty of hindsight and how we oftentimes end up with more questions than answers. Simple on the surface but subtly infectious, an early favourite for those who heard the early mixes.

PRESSURE
The simple but impactful riff, the double guitar solo, sometimes the old playbook still has lots to offer. Soundtracking a story of systemic and situational frustration. Born from feeling the deeper questions about what life is and what life could be and if there is a better future out there.

RED SHOES
A song born out of a sense of urgency that runs right through the track. Visual lyrics over a rhythm that really drives home the urgency, with an uplifting overarch and infectious hook. A song for those who still believe it really is that simple.

NO TIME TO LOSE
Showcasing the bands dynamic range over the shedding of preconceptions for a more honest and to the point approach. The only regret of those who find the right company is that they did not find it sooner. With an outro designed to inspire you to singalong.

LONG GONE LOVE
The first song written after 2022’s ‘Through The Night’, serving as the through thread between the past and the new. A song about a building driven desperation to move on despite being caught up by the power of a shared favourite song.

QUEEN OF HEARTS
There’s a melancholic feeling that’s hard to describe, but this song sits in the peace of that feeling. From witnessing quiet moments in contemplation. To a personal confession of admiration. This song serves as the disarmed heart at the centre of the album.

PATRON SAINT OF THE BROKEN HEARTED
Written for a friend, but this is a song for those who choose not to let failures, doubts, pain and cynicism turn them insular. For those who chose to use the lessons they’ve learned the hard way to help others. The hopeful message to close out this album over a rousing triumphant chorus.
