John Loughlin Leaves raging Speedhorn
Today, Corby noise mongers Raging Speedhorn have announced that long serving vocalist John Loughlin has stepped down from the band. One of two ever present members in the band since its formation 21 years ago, its a loss that many Speedhorn fans will be sad to see.
In a statement on facebook the band said:
"We are beyond grateful for everything that John has helped us to achieve over the years and his legacy will remain in our DNA. Throughout our career, John alongside our drummer Gordon, has remained a constant in the band, appearing on all five of our studio albums and missing only 4 gigs!"
Loughlin had missed the bands last two shows in Stoke and at Bloodstock Festival due to family commitments, with former RSJ front man Dan Cook standing in for him. Anyone who witnessed either of those two shows knows Dan is more than capable of filling John's boots.
The band stated:
"Time moves on and Raging Speedhorn now enter a new chapter as we welcome Dan Cook to the fold. Dan is no stranger to the band or our fans... having stepped in to fill Frank’s shoes in 2016 when he was unable to tour, and also most recently for John at Bloodstock Festival this summer."
The band now move forward the recording of their sixth studio album, touted for a Spring 2020 release.
