Corrosion of Conformity Drummer Reed Mullin Passes Away

Corrosion of Conformity Drummer Reed Mullin Passes Away.

We are all waking up to the incredibly sad news this morning that Corrosionof Conformity drummer Reed Mullin has passed away, aged just 53.

His band mates confirmed his passing on social media over night:

“It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a friend, a brother and pioneer. Reed you are loved and always will be. Let’s all take a moment…”

Friend and DRI drummer Felix Griffin wrote:

“I just heard one of my oldest friend in the music scene has passed. I am devastated what a amazing and sweet individual he was.”

Mullin co founded the band back in 1982 as a hardcore punk act, but the bands sound evolved over time. He was drummer through the bands first six albums, taking leave in 2001 for a back injury. He returned in 2010 but had sporadically missed shows over the last few years due to a variety of health issues, including an alcohol-related seizure he suffered back in June 2016.

Today we remember Reed as the legend he was, taken from us all too soon.

Rest in peace Reed.
