Aphyxion Launch New Single 'Roll The Dice'
Following the successful release of “Oceans of Time” featuring Chaosbay, Danish Aphyxion is ready to add another hard hitting, headbang prompting and catchy song to the rotation:
“Roll The Dice” is the perfect union between groovy breakdowns, aggressive and almost horror inducing vocals and the contrasting clean and catchy chorus, full of relief. Intuitively, you want to move your body and sing along after a couple of spins, which emphasises the theme of the song: follow your gut and go with what feels right.

In conjunction with the new song, Aphyxion announce their fourth studio album "Ad Astra". It will be released on February 10th, 2023, via Circular Wave and is going to contain two more powerful collaborations next to the already released feature single “Oceans Of Time“ (w/ CHAOSBAY).
Bassist Jais Jessen on how “Roll The Dice” came to be:
“Way back, Jonas [guitars] wrote this killer intro/verse riff that invited intense and aggressive vocals. We couldn’t come up with fitting vocals at first, so he finished up the demo and the song lived solely instrumentally, for a while. The thing is that we always make inside joke-y titles for in-progress songs (e.g. ‘Fresh Pots’, ‘YAAZ’, ‘Davsi’ & ‘Hel Hunnar’), and for whatever reason, Jonas had already titled this “Roll The Dice”.
Then, on a gloomy February morning on my living room couch, after having “Daggers” by We Came As Romans on repeat for a couple of hours straight, the verse came to me and the lyrics and theme for the song pretty much fell into place that same afternoon, all based on the working title of the demo.
It ended up as this super hard hitting, yet catchy song, about listening to your intuition and being courageous enough to follow your dreams and desires. We want the people hearing it to stop and really ask themselves: am I happy with the way I live, or do I need to roll the dice and try something different for a change? Just take a leap of faith, jump in the deep end, follow your gut and trust that the pieces will fall into place along the way. This is what we felt we did back when we started the band: jumped into a project that gave us joy and the feeling of being part of something bigger than ourselves.”
