The Razor's Edge: How would you describe your style of metal?

Nameless: We are predominantly Nu-Metal. We also play hardcore, metalcore and 80s new wave inspired shoegaze metal.

The Razor's Edge: How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?

Nameless: We landed a spot at Bloodstock by winning a really tough M2TM competition hosted in Birmingham. Initially, we were knocked out of our semi final heat at the Flapper in Birmingham to two amazing bands, Kensei and Tooth and Dagger. However, a few weeks later we received an email explaining that our friends, ‘The Black Hound’ has unfortunately pulled out of the final. We were the judges wild card from the very first heat and also gained the most votes across each heat. So, we were invited to the final to battle.

The Razor's Edge: How tough was the competition this year?

Nameless: The competition was extremely tough. All of the band that played across each heat are friends of ours and bands who we regularly play gigs with. These guys are incredibly talented and all put on extraordinary shows. With each heat the level of skill and hunger for the win intensified exponentially. It was clear that every band rehearsed themselves to the absolutely Nth degree of their playing ability. Just like we did. Each band that played against us slap! They know how to move a crowd that’s for sure. I think at every show, we were stood completely amazed at the competition and deliberated on who we thought would win. In short, Birmingham is bursting with talented, high end bands that all equally deserve this opportunity. That’s how difficult this competition has been, start to finish.

The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?

Nameless: Playing Bloodstock is an absolute dream come true for all of us. We are all so passionate about music and music we make and being able to play our music at the festival in front of thousands of people unequivocally excites the hell out of us. We have all worked so hard over the last year and a half to fine tune our sound. We just want bloodstock to see and hear us and help us bask in the fruits of our labour. Bloodstock means that we can reach more people in one go to help build our fan base. It means that we get to play a gig we’re the energy and love Is so intense and next to none. It also means that we get to meet new people, network, learn and evolve with and through this amazing gathering of musicians and music lovers. I think it goes without saying too, that we’re all elated at the idea of playing a festival with some of our favourite big names. It’s going to be an honour. It will be eye opening. Above everything else, it’s going to be fun, and that’s what we live for.

The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?

Nameless: We bring energy incarnate. We are passionate players and in being so, our delivery is intense and fun to behold. We are bringing heavy (stank facing) riffs, heavy hitting and

technical drum rhythms guaranteed to make your head bang. We bring deep driven baselines that permeate the body at a cellular level. We bring electronic ambiance and ethereal mood. All accompanied by empowering and aggressive rap verses, docile and hearty cleans and break your face, pit stirring gutturals, fry’s and false chords.

There is something for everyone in our band. We salute the 90’s era of Nu-Metal, whilst parading a more Morden hardcore flex.

The Razor's Edge: What day are you performing?

Nameless: We are performing on the Sunday on the New Blood stage.

The Razor's Edge: What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?

Nameless: Knocked Loose, Meshuggah, Sepultura and Decapitated! But of course we’re buzzing to see all of the bands because they are all awesome!

The Razor's Edge: Playing the New Blood Stage is just the first stepping stone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?

Nameless: There is a lot of touring in the future for us. We’re looking to touch new ground, new towns and cities.

We will be pushing our latest EP as much as we can, encourage growth. Alongside that, we will be working with some incredibly talented videographers and artists to help us produce some music videos.

Ahead of that we will be continuously writing new music, eventually compiling an album.

In between and beyond, just loads of gigging and some collaborations. And maybe some more battles. We don’t rest and won’t rest. All for the love of music!

The Razor's Edge: Are you camping with the fans? Which campsite are you heading for?

Nameless: So we have access to every camp site but we have been given a private camp site where we can house all of our gear. We will have friends and fans who are going to Bloodstock, so we intend in spending our time with them off stage and just have one hell of a fun time!

The Razor's Edge: You’ve gotta keep hydrated at Bloodstock, what is your drink of choice for the weekend?

Nameless: Our boy Jordan is a bit of a health freak so for the most part for him, and as a whole, it will be water and fruit juices for all of us especially before our set. But after that I think it’s safe to say that we will be downing some whisky and cider!!! Oh and monster energy drinks!
