Blanket Release New Single 'Nuclear Boy Scout'
Building on the success of their critically acclaimed album 'Modern Escapism,' Blanket solidify their place as one of the UK’s finest with their latest album ‘Ceremonia’ out via Church Road Records March 22nd, 2023.
Today the band a brand new single and video 'Nuclear Boy Scout'. The band seamlessly blending elements of post-rock, shoegaze, and alternative rock. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Cave In, HUM, Swervedriver, and Ride.

"This is the last of 4 singles from our ‘Ceremonia’ record, the nuclear Boy Scout was a story I read about a young lad in America called David Hahn who built a nuclear reactor in his mums back garden. Simon wrote this song and put it in chat, when we listened we were all instantly hooked and I came up with vocal Melodie’s that night.
Musically it reminds me of Cave In ‘Jupiter’ era in parts and also has more shoegaze/emo elements in certain sections of the track.We can’t wait for everyone to hear ‘Ceremonia’ in full on 22nd March, and we’re celebrating its release with a full play-through in our hometown of Blackpool at Bootleg Social on the 23rd! "
