This brand new single is accompanied with an exciting and genre stretching remix of the track ‘Old Belief’ by Fakeyourdeath, who are an industrial/electronicore band from Brighton, England. Listen to the track here.
Copse began life in 2020 as an exchange of musical ideas between guitarists and work colleagues Phil Vernon and Craig Mallard during the lockdowns enforced by the global pandemic. As the world slowly returned to normal, bassist Rob Collier, drummer Ryan Westwood and vocalist Ed Garrood-Gibbs were recruited into the fold.
Due to the overwhelming reaction to the band's first two EPs (‘Mara | Mondrem’ and ‘Old Belief | New Despair’) as well as the glowing praise for their live performance at ArcTangGent festival, it seemed only appropriate to consolidate both of their previous EPs into one epic release under the banner of ‘MMXXIV’, which was released on the 30th of August 2024.
This discography release serves as a milestone for the band's incredible musical accomplishments, and sets the tone for the exciting road ahead. This road that we speak of has now led us to the mournful yet exhilarating new single ‘Wish Ender’, set for release on the 1st of October. As the days grow shorter and we descend into autumn, there’s no better soundtrack to finding beauty within the darkness than this new offering from Copse. It fits the Church Road mantra of covering all bases from the serene to extreme. Featuring guest vocals from David Duxbury (Hundred Year Old Man).
