Bloodstock Bound: Fortune Teller

As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and EMP stages at this years event.

Today we chat with Fortune Teller

The Razor's Edge: Please introduce yourself and your band mates.

Fortune Teller: Hi I’m Theresa, lead singer. We’ve got Ian Rockett and Ross McLennan on guitars, Meyrick de la Fuente on keys and backing vocals, David Billote on bass and Tim Coulson on Drums!

The Razor's Edge: How would you describe your sound?

Fortune Teller: We sit between power metal and symphonic metal but we also have the heavier elements of modern melodic metal. For fans of Kamelot, Evergrey & Brothers of Metal

The Razor's Edge: How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?

Fortune Teller: We are fortunate enough to have been offered a place by Simon Hall

The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?

Fortune Teller: We love playing Bloodstock not only because it is an awesome metal festival right here in the UK but because of what the community means to all of us.

The M2TM and New Blood gives the best opportunity for new bands to get to play such a powerhouse festival, and get their music heard.

The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?

Fortune Teller: We are very much looking forward to bringing our music to the Bloodstock audience, expect big riffs, even bigger choruses, and songs you’ll hopefully be singing for the rest of the weekend!

The Razor's Edge: Are you camping with the fans? Which campsite are you heading for?

Fortune Teller: Actually…we’ve got an Airbnb down the road! We’ve all camped at Bloodstock for many years and this time we thought we would treat ourselves!

The Razor's Edge: You’ve gotta keep hydrated at Bloodstock, what is your drink of choice for the weekend?
