Uprising Announces More Bands for 'Vol 6'
Leicestershire's best Heavy Metal festival returns for its sixth installment on the 29th April. To celebrate the return UPRISING has already announced a bunch of household names including Gothic-Doom pioneers PARADISE LOST as headliners, plus Industrial-core icons COMBICHRIST. With 11 weeks to go until show time, UPRISING has announced three more bands to the line up.
Firstly, we are thrilled to welcome British Hard Rockers, SKARLETT RIOT. Following a mega performance on the main stage at Bloodstock Festival last year, SKARLETT RIOT will be bringing their critically acclaimed performance to the O2 Academy in Leicester.
As SKARLETT RIOT hit the studio to start recording their 2021 album ‘Invicta’, a global pandemic struck and they had to re-assemble and plan their next moves, they re-entered the studio as soon as they could and recorded what press have called their best album to date. ‘Invicta’ reached #3 in Amazon’s Hard Rock & Metal Best Seller Chart and it peaked at #4 in the ITunes Metal Chart. Add to this their incredible CV including performances at Download Festival, Reading & Leeds Festival, Steelhouse and more, plus tour support slots alongside Wednesday 13, The Darkness and more. SKARLETT RIOT will not disappoint.
Also joining the line up are all female Alt Metal band HAWXX, in their words, HAWXX “aim to bring diversity and inclusivity to the rock and metal world and reform the standard sausage fest.” following the release of their debut EP ‘Deadlands’ in 2020, the band have gone from strength to strength touring UK and Europe supporting Tremonti, followed by performances at Download Festival, Summer Breeze in Germany and Radar Festival to name a few.
Returning to UPRISING will be London, Blackened Thrash Metallers, DAMIM. Including Ex-Akercocke bassist Nathaniel Underwood on vocals and over two decades to master their sound, DAMIM are intense and mesmerizing live.BUY HERE
