Slam Dunk Festival 2023 celebrates the south site at Hatfield Park selling-out, with only a limited number of tickets available for the north edition, taking place at Leeds Temple Newsam. Slam Dunk Festival is guaranteed to once again be one of the biggest weekends in the alternative calendar as headliners the mighty Enter Shikari will return to the festival for mind-blowing sets as Californian punk icons The Offspring make their Slam Dunk debut. Stage headliners feature an abundance of alternative talent in Yellowcard, Creeper, Malevolence, The Hunna and The Maine. This years festival will kick off with an earlier start time - festival gates will open at 9am with the main arena opening at 11am each day. The Dickies Stage will host the highly-anticipated headline performance from The Offspring. This packed stage (compered by punk afficionado and Life In The Stocks Podcast host, Matt Stocks) is your one-stop-shop for all things punk and ska and the line up does not disappoint, with long-standing favourites and fresh acts across the bill. Bowling For Soup return to the UK after a small run of shows last year and Less Than Jake appear back at Slam Dunk for the first time since 2019. Trailblazing American punk groups Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello and Teenage Bottlerocket will make their debut Slam Dunk performances alongside returning heroes Millencolin and Zebrahead. Continuing their unrivalled partnership into 2023, AMAZON MUSIC PRESENTS THE ROCK SCENE STAGE sees the return of Enter Shikari to Slam Dunk Festival, fresh from the release of their seventh studio album “A Kiss From The World”. Canadian punk giants Billy Talent, American alt-pop-rock group PVRIS and post-hardcore outfit Underoath will make the journey across the Atlantic to thrill the crowd. Nurturing UK talent, AMAZON MUSIC PRESENTS THE ROCK SCENE STAGE will welcome these familiar names: Wargasm, Holding Absence, Trash Boat, Vukovi and Zand. This stage will be hosted by BBC Radio 1 and Kerrang! Radio’s Alyx Holcombe, and will see Kids In Glass Houses celebrate the 15th anniversary of “Smart Casual” with Slam Dunk being the only place to catch this reunion live! Recently celebrating forty years of supporting alternative music, Kerrang! will host an eclectic whos-who of iconic names across two stages (Left and Right). Building up to headliners Yellowcard and Creeper, this stage will be the place to catch the official reunion of emo The Academy Is as well as the return of Slam Dunk Festival favourites such as Four Year Strong, The Menzingers, Boston Manor, Fireworks and Trophy Eyes. Bleeding heart legends Hawthorne Heights make their debut appearance alongside Spanish Love Songs, Destroy Boys, Movements and Sincere Engineer. |
Now a Slam Dunk Festival mainstay, The Key Club stage pays homage to the beloved Leeds institution that keeps alternative music alive all year round. Split into Left Key and Right Key, the alternating stages will see The Hunna and The Maine top the bill while offering some of the most exciting and fast-rising names throughout the day. These movers and shakers include JDXN, Sueco, Maggie Lindemann, Noahfinnce, Scene Queen, Charlotte Sands and girlfriends. This is quite simply THE place to see emerging alternative talent on a bill completed by Emarosa, Youth Fountain, Grayscale and The Tyne. KNOTFEST will deliver the heaviest offerings at this year’s Slam Dunk Festival in a brand-new partnership for 2023. Headlined by South Yorkshire metallers Malevolence, this stage will be on fire with the heat of incredible face-melting talent throughout the day and home to the closing set from DJ Fresh in the evening. The international friendly line up of American titans We Came As Romans, Escape The Fate, Fit For A King, Dragged Under, See You Space Cowboy and French metalcore talent Landmvrks will be a site to behold. Some of the most promising names in the UK scene: Static Dress, Higher Power and Heriot will be out representing in full-force. |
In addition to this monumental line-up, Slam Dunk Festival 2023 will see a refreshed festival programme featuring exclusive on-site Q&A’s, acoustic performances, unmissable signing tent opportunities and one-off activities, courtesy of Slam Dunk Festival partners. While the ska-punk celebrations are kicking off on stage, Dickies will be on-site at Slam Dunk Festival, located in next to the Dickies stage at both sites, live screen printing of limited edition t-shirts and tote bags for eager festival goers. Amazon Music UK will be hosting the official signing tent at this year’s festival and will be an unmissable highlight for fans wanting to meet the talent of Slam Dunk Festival 2023. With names to be revealed at a later date, the Amazon Music UK signing tent has been visited by festival-performing artists such as All Time Low, Simple Plan, Beartooth, Hot Milk and KennyHoopla in previous years. This tent can be found at the Festival Village in South and next Amazon Music UK Presents the Rock Scene stage in North. Queues are likely, so it is recommended those interested get down early to secure their spot. Known for their globally-recognised media output, KnotFest will be hosting exclusive Q&A sessions with artists from the Knotfest stage bill. These 20 minute Q&A sessions will take place in a public-facing tent near the Knotfest stage itself, and will feature phenomenal artists taking a deep-dive into their latest work and career highlights. Not only will Kerrang! be hosting their own-dual stage, the legendary music publication will have their own tent open to all festival-goers at both Slam Dunk Festival sites, showcasing their soon-to-be-launched clothing range to the public for the very first time. You might even see a few famous faces stopping by. Located at the Festival Village in South and next Amazon Music UK Presents the Rock Scene stage in North. Leeds-based Crash Records will be giving festival goers and superfans an unforgettable opportunity to support Slam Dunk Festival artists in their latest releases.
