Metal Church Frontman Mike Howe Passes Away
In incredibly sad news this morning, Metal Church front man Mike Howe, has passed away at the age of 55.
Howe originally joined the band in 1988, performing on their third album 'Blessing in Disguise' and stayed with the band through to 1996 and another two studio albums. In 2015 Kurt Vanderhoof approached Howe to return in time for the bands 'XI' album recording which coincided with a resurgence in their popularity.
For UK fans this culminated in a critically acclaimed set at Bloodstock Festival in 2019.
This morning the band have announce Mike's passing, stating;
It is with our deepest regrets that we must announce the passing of our brother, our friend and true legend of heavy metal music. Mike Howe passed away this morning at his home in Eureka, California. We are devastated and at a loss for words. Please respect our privacy and the Howe family’s privacy during this most difficult time.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends and band mates at this time.
RIP Mike Howe.
