Bloodstock 2022: Introducing - Syncolima
As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and Jägermeister stages at this years event.
Today we chat with Stoff, bassist with Syncolima!
The Razor's Edge: Please introduce yourself and your band mates.
Stoff: Joshua Morgan – vocals / Guitar, Gazz Evans – Drums, Stoff - Bass
The Razor's Edge: How would you describe your style of metal?
Stoff: Very hard to nail down, mashup of stoner and grunge with a slight prog element, big riffs, big bass, catchy chorus’s and then more riffs!
The Razor's Edge: How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?
Stoff: We got right to the finals of out local (Nottingham) M2TM. We didn’t come first, but got offered the Jägermeister stage, which is awesome!
The Razor's Edge: How tough was the M2TM competition this year?
Stoff: Ridiculously good! As a relatively new band we’re still finding our feet, as I guess most are after two years off too, so we were very surprised we made it right through to the final, the competition was fierce and any or every band could have made it.
The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?
Stoff: It’s great to be back, myself and Gazz are both alumni from previous years, so it means a lot to be back in our new band, for Josh, it’s always been a goal.
The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?
Stoff: Fat bass lines, big riff’s, a lot of groove and a mental drummer

Stoff: Friday 12th – Jägermeister Stage
The Razor's Edge: What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?
Stoff: Our friends in Fyresky, Devastator, Master Charger, Boz, Deadlock Saints, Pelugion, GWAR, because... GWAR!, Night Flight Orchestra and peruse the New Blood stage for more upcoming awesome bands!
The Razor's Edge: Playing the Jägermeister Stage is just the first stepping stone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?
Stoff: Without giving you the whole backstory, we wrote and recorded our debut album in four months last year, with gigs being back on the menu it’s been awesome getting back out there, next for us after Bloodstock, recording our 2nd album In September, with anew year release, we’ll see what happens after that!
