As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and Jägermeister stages at this years event.
Today we chat with bHP!
The Razor's Edge: Please introduce yourself and your band mates.
bHP: Hey guys!! I'm Filip from .bHP and the staff consists of:
Asia - vocals
Martinez - bass, backing vocals
44 - DJ
Igor - drums
Anderson - guitar
Filip(me) - guitar
The Razor's Edge: How would you describe your style of metal?
bHP: A mixture of nu metal with some modern edge and top influences from whatever else we listen to.
The Razor's Edge: How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?
bHP: We won the M2TM Poland competition 😀
The Razor's Edge: How tough was the competition this year?
bHP: All of the bands in the competition were outstanding and the choice had to be super tough. If the M2TM finals happen next year, I'm going - because I know there won't be no weak spots!
The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?
bHP: Obviously it means a lot to us. We feel honoured and we see it as a great opportunity to connect to people outside of Poland and push our career forward!
The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?
bHP: Bouncy riffs, catchy choruses, too many people on the stage and some breakdowns of course:)
The Razor's Edge: What day are you performing?
bHP: Sunday 13/08, Newblood stage:)
The Razor's Edge: What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?
bHP: Personally I'm looking forward to seeing Killswitch Engage (heroes!!) and Meshuggah. KSE I've seen twice and they just won't disappoint, one of my favourite bands of all time for sure! I haven't had the chance to see Meshuggah yet but I've heard only good stuff about their live shows:)
The Razor's Edge: Playing the New Blood Stage is just the first stepping stone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?
bHP: Bloodstock is not the only festival we're playing this year! It's really crazy to us but we did land some huge gigs in the summer, so the world doesn't have to wait that long to be dominated!
The Razor's Edge: Are you camping with the fans? Which campsite are you heading for?
bHP: We don't know which campsite we're gonna be in but for sure we'll be walking all around, don't be afraid to catch us somewhere!!
