The Dead XIII: We won Metal To The Masses in Burnley. Wow it still doesn’t quite feel real saying i
The Razor's Edge: How tough was this years competition?
The Dead XIII: Its always tough! The calibre of bands that we meet is astonishing, you can really see & feel the hard work that they put into it, pouring their blood sweat and tears into every aspect of the music. We’ve met some awesome people during the process that we really hope to see again soon!
The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?
The Dead XIII: Everything! Its something we’ve all dreamt of for years, we feel truly honoured and blessed to be apart of such an amazing festival, hopefully everyone will love us & well get to come back again & again.
The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?
The Dead XIII: This is our first festival show since the Covid curse. This has been a long time coming so we are going to make this something really special. Expect the biggest show we have ever done, squeezed into a relentless 30 minute set. We are going to rip the roof off that tent.
The Razor's Edge: What day are you performing?
The Dead XIII: We are playing the Saturday but we will be around all weekend.
The Razor's Edge: What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?
The Dead XIII: Were definitely going to check out the other bands on the new blood stage & try & catch our new friends in Bloodyard. Other than that there’s just so many to list but, to name a few we’re planning on catching Meshuggah, King 810, Biohazard, In Flames, KSE & of course Megadeath!
The Razor's Edge: Playing the New Blood Stage is just the first steppingstone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?
The Dead XIII: We’ve just finished recording our 3rd album which we’re aiming to get out by the end of the year. We want to tour as much as possible over the next year to get back out and see our fans. Then we can start planning our future return to Bloodstock right?
The Razor's Edge: Are you camping with the fans? Which campsite are you heading for?
The Dead XIII: We will indeed, we want to get the absolute most of the bloodstock experience. So come and join us in the pit.
The Razor's Edge: You’ve gotta keep hydrated at Bloodstock, what is your drink of choice for the weekend?
The Dead XIII: We’ve heard Lemmy’s bar do a great selection of ales and beers. We plan on trying them all…
