DEVIL’S ISLAND featuring Inherently Lost

DEVIL'S ISLAND featuring Inherently Lost

Welcome to this weeks edition of Devil's Island! Every week we maroon a band or artist on the island and see what they get up to, how they cope with being all alone on a small island in the middle of the ocean. It's not your average desert island and we'll see just how each person copes with the extreme conditions.

This week when we arrived at Devil's Island we find Inherently Lost sat on the beach. The island is far from their home, so how did they end up here and how did they cope with life on Devil's Island?

Find out now...

Welcome to The Razors'e Edge and our somewhat lovely, warm desert island. Don't worry about it's name I'm sure it's not as bad as that would suggest.

You're marooned here on this island, but before you ended up shipwrecked you chose one album that you couldn't live without. Which album did you each chose and why?

Noreen - Epica - The Divine Conspiracy.

Drew - Iron Maiden seventh son for the guitar harmonies and sheer epicness.

Joe - Iron Maiden- Live After Death. It's a double album, so more songs, plus it's all killer.

Mark - Hatebreed - Satisfaction is the Death of Desire. It's a very uplifting and inspiring album, definitely would need that to keep motivated to live.

Mikey - Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil. Gotta keep the demons away.

Just behind that palm tree is a shack for each of you to stay in, with enough space for you to put up a poster on the wall of one album cover. What album cover do you each chose?

Noreen - Cradle of Filth Cruelty and the Beast, I love bathing in blood.

Drew - The Cars candy-o because if I'm stuck on a deserted island, I'm not trying to have pictures of a bunch of dudes.

Joe - Pink Floyd- Pulse. It's just a really cool album cover and it's comforting.

Mark - The Soulfly self titled album cover. I have had that on my wall since I was a teen. It would be a reminder of where I came from.

Mikey - Twisted Sister’s Still Hungry, came out the year I was born and I love men in drag.

There's also a bar on this here island. But alas each of you only get to choose one drink for the entirety of your stay. What's your tipple of choice?

Noreen - I usually don’t drink that often, however I love Fuzzy Nipples.

Drew - i don't drink and I don't know what a tipple is so I guess I'll go with coke

Joe - IPA's

Mark - 1800 Silver Tequila.

Mikey - White Claw all the way.

Your suitcases were lost when your ship sank, but you each managed to salvage one item of band merch. What’s the merch and for what band?

Noreen - This Magic Rabbit “massager” that I got from Otep’s merch table at a show in Cleveland. Never leave home without it.

Drew - My Portal hoodie, it's warm plus when they recover my carcass I want people to know I liked cool music

Joe - My Gojira long sleeve shirt. It will keep me warm on those cool/cold nights

Mark - Heaven Shall Burn Hoodie its warm and thick could double as a pillow.

Mikey - Dee Snider’s Flesh Light. My dad got it for me for my 15th birthday.

You’re sat on the island thinking “I’m stuck here on this island with my bandmates for eternity”… who would you rather have been shipwrecked with?

Noreen - Martha Stewart, at least she could cook for me.

Drew - A billionaire or some politician then you know someone's coming.

Joe - A bunch of porn stars.

Mark - Neil Degrasse Tyson, a good story teller with plenty to say.

Mikey -  Tommy Lee. Influenced my drumming and he could tell me all about Pamela.

DEVIL’S ISLAND featuring Inherently Lost

There's a walkman in your pocket, on the tape inside is the recording of the one live show that stands out for you. It could be any show, from any band, anywhere in the world. What show is on that walkman?

Noreen -  Evanescence - Anywhere but Home live in France

Drew - Black Sabbath born again tour

Joe - Pink Floyd at the L.A. Coliseum 1988. I was front row center and was blown away by it.

Mark - Ozzfest 2004 The heaviest and best Ozzfest in my opinion.

Mikey - Kiss - Alive!

You're getting desperate, you decide the only course of action is to put a message in a bottle and hope someone finds it. Your message could be to any member of any band, but should be the most suitable for a rescue attempt. Who is it?

Noreen - Simone Simons her voice is like a Siren and could help lead the way off the Island.

Drew - Bruce Dickinson he's a licensed pilot so maybe he could fly us out of there

Joe - Any member of Gojira. They have good ties with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and they have big boats and ships they could rescue us with.

Mark - Christopher Bowes of Alestorm, Being a Pirate you know he knows how to party and would bring a boat.

Mikey - Jimmy Buffet, he knows his way around an island.

You've been stuck here for a while and food supplies are running low. There's only one thing for it... which fellow band member gets sacrificed to help the others survive?

Noreen - I poison them all and eat them in this order: Joe, Drew, Mikey, then Mark.

Drew - I would sacrifice myself. They could eat for weeks just off my dong meat

Joe - None, we'll have to just live off the land

Mark - Definitely Joe. Dudes the size of a water buffalo.

Mikey - Joe no doubt.

Finally, when the ship sank you each managed to save one person from the wreckage. That person is the one musician that has influenced your career the most, shaped your way of thinking and your outlook on life. Who did you save?

Noreen - Amy Lee her voice & lyrics have meant a lot too me.

Drew - Musically I would pick Geezer Butler but if we're talking survival I'm picking lizzo we could eat well and burn blubber for warmth

Joe - Adam Jones from Tool.

Mark - Roger Waters

Mikey - Rick Allen if he can play drums with one arm, so can I.
