Stonedead Festival Announce 2025 Line Up

With six massively successful festivals already under their (studded leather) belts, Stonedeaf Productions Ltd know that each year's event has become the highlight of the calendar for many. As a festival for rock fans, built by rock fans, the emphasis is always on quality over quantity and the aim is to always provide a quality line-up that mixes established favourites with new discoveries. Endless hours over many months of planning are put into each event and the team are very happy to reveal details of what the SOLD OUT Stonedead 2025 will be bringing to the metal mad masses in August next year.
Headlining will be the recently reformed Glasgow born titans The Almighty. Known for their ability to bring top quality and hard rocking anthems, the outfit are without doubt one of the best live bands on the planet. Having cut their teeth opening for bands like Motorhead, Megadeth, Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden, their fighting spirit and determination to be heard shaped them into a ferocious act. It’s not just on stage that they’ve dominated; albums like 'Blood, Fire & Love', 'Soul Destruction', 'Powertrippin'' and 'Crank' are full of material that could flatten city blocks. Originally splitting in 1996, you can't keep a good band down and when the combo reconvened for a fourth time at the start of 2023, they were out to prove that the fire burns as brightly as ever. A string of incendiary sold out shows followed, the hunger still there for the band, and the fans there to witness the spectacle of four men born with rock n’ roll in their blood. Adding a little bit of spice to the proceedings, the set will be a special ‘By Request’ performance, giving fans the say in which classics are played on the night. This is going to be a headline set that will blow away the crowds and wake up the neighbours. Are you ready to rock?

The special guest slot has always been hotly anticipated and this year is no different with The Dead Daisies taking up the mantle as the sun goes down. With a rich history of some of the best the rock scene has to offer, this really is a supergroup and the Daisies family have proved that the right elements coming together at the perfect time can produce absolute magic. Constantly touring the world, bringing out killer albums and showing a dedication to their craft like no other band on the planet, there couldn't be a finer choice for the Special Guest slot than these globe trotting troubadours.

As always, the rest of the bill is specially curated for ultimate entertainment and every act is hand-picked to provide the best event possible for the faithful Stonedead family. With that in mind, it's a thrill to announce that the legends Sweet will be joining the party for Stonedead 2025. Best known for their unassailable string of glam hits in the 1970's and being almost a weekly feature on Top of the Pops, there is a lot more to them than bubblegum anthems. Anyone who turned over a Sweet 45rpm single or saw the band live would be able to testify that this band knew how to rock and rock hard. With barnstormers like 'The Ballroom Blitz', 'Block Buster', 'Hellraiser' and many more, this will be the good time, singalong set that will get everyone moving.
Also joining the bill, Danish destroyers D-A-D bring their always vital take on metal, their groundbreaking career seeing them join the leagues of must-see acts on the planet. Originally influenced by Cowpunk, their sound has developed over the years with more hard rock elements, their unique material and compelling live sets a stunning combination.
With their fifteenth album 'Domination' due out next year, it's a pleasure to announce that German power metallers, the mighty Primal Fear will be joining the line up at Stonedead. With a sound akin to giants Judas Priest and Helloween, the outfit have been an unstoppable force, their crushing and face melting presence like being strapped to a drag racer as the lights hit green.
Fellow Germans and the Princes of good time rock 'n' roll The New Roses also raise the bar for 2025, the band having worked hard to build up their unbeatable reputation. After several trips to the UK, many converts to the high octane and hard rocking combo have witnessed their ability to bring razor sharp melodies and the sort of attitude that built rock as such a global force.
Yet more of a truly international feel to the festival comes in the form of seriously heavy duty Swedish metal machine Enforcer. Now in their twentieth year, this is a band steeped in the rich game changing sounds of proto-Thrash legends Anvil and Venom. Expect blistering tunes that will shake your body and make you feel like a teenager again.

Cherry picking the very best from rock and metal of the past fifty years, Black Oak Country sound like all your favourite bands rolled into one yet with their own utterly unique feel. Since emerging from Denmark in 2016, the quartet have played numerous shows and released three albums, each showing remarkable growth that's brought them to the attention of some big names in the business. Destined to fly the hard rock flag ever higher, huge things are promised.
All that remains is the winner to be found for the opening artist once the current highly competitive rounds of the poll have been completed. With some stunning up and coming talent in the race, we're sure that whoever wins will blow everyone away and kick off the 2025 festival in perfect style.
