Bloodstock Bound: Bad Smell

As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and EMP stages at this years event.

Today we chat with Bad Smell

The Razor's Edge: Please introduce yourself and your band mates.

Bad Smell: We are Bad Smell, made up of T-Bone on the bass and vocals, Davyd on the guitar and Goose behind the kit! Davyd and Goose also assist in yelling into the mic from time to time!

The Razor's Edge: How would you describe your sound?

Bad Smell: No nonsense really - old school Motorhead vibes for sure!

The Razor's Edge: How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?

Bad Smell: Pure luck we guess! Sent our stuff to Simon, absolutely couldn’t believe it when he replied offering us a slot at the festival!

The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?

Bad Smell: Honestly, its a dream come true, proper bucket list moment for all three of us, we’ve spent many hours discussing how amazing it would be to play Bloodstock!

The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?

Bad Smell: Loud catchy riffs and catchy chorus’ - don’t come expecting anything too technical, come expecting a good time!

The Razor's Edge: What day are you performing?

Bad Smell: Saturday on the EMP stage, but we’ll be around for the full weekend!

The Razor's Edge: What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?

Bad Smell: The obvious one are the headliners, we’ve seen Trivium, Machine Head and Gojira at festivals over the years, really cool to see our name sharing a poster with these legends. Rough Justice and Ireosis are from our neck of the woods too, so really cool to see them on the bill with us!

The Razor's Edge: Playing the EMP Stage is just the first steppingstone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?

Bad Smell: Playing Bloodstock less than a year after playing our first gig puts us well ahead of where we dreamed we could be, the next step for us is playing everywhere and anywhere that will have us! If Bloodstock ever want us back we’ll answer the call immediately!

The Razor's Edge: Are you camping with the fans? Which campsite are you heading for?

Bad Smell: I think we’ve been provided with somewhere to set up camp by Simon, we’re not sure until we rock up where exactly we’ll be, but we can’t wait to get there now!

The Razor's Edge: You’ve gotta keep hydrated at Bloodstock, what is your drink of choice for the weekend?

Bad Smell: Think we’re gonna treat ourselves to a Red Bull before we go on stage!
