Bloodstock Bound: Unnatural Order

Interview: unnatural Order @ Bloodstock 2025

Bloodstock Bound: Unnatural Order

As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and EMP stages at this years event.

Today we chat with Unnatural Order

The Razor's Edge: Please introduce yourself and your band mates.

Unnatural Order: We are unnatural order, we are from Canterbury Kent and have been a band since September 2023

Alex Fuller - vocals
Nathan Bell - Guitar
Jack Gibson - Bass
Beau Williams - Drums

The Razor's Edge: How would you describe your sound?

Unnatural Order: We are on the darker side of metalcore with an addition of djent rhythms and breakdowns, it can be very primal at times but also quite melodic. It is quite hard to define a very specific genre to our sound as there are so many influences from all of us, there is deathcore, metalcore, hardcore, djent… but metalcore is at the very heart of it all.

The Razor's Edge: How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?

Unnatural Order: We put in a lot of work to really perform as a unit, we tried to bring a performance that was captivating both through sound and visuals without the need of elaborate lighting or pyro, this was quite intimidating when we saw 2 other bands use both of those things in the final.

We performed harder and better than we ever had before and it paid off!

The Razor's Edge: How tough was the competition this year?

Unnatural Order: It was definitely the toughest we had seen, the quality of bands in this years heats let alone the final was incredible and the judges must have had some incredibly hard decisions to make

We have everything ranging from a Viking themed band all the way to an acoustic solo act!

The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?

Unnatural Order: This is an incredible opportunity and it’s what we set for our goal when forming the band, we had entered last year and made it to the finals but unfortunately didn’t win. This is all we have wanted since the very start!

A huge point that we would love to mention is that Alex isn’t our original vocalist, we had to part ways with our previous frontman for various personal differences. Alex performed his first ever live show in November last year and this means that in under a year he will have gone from his first show ever to playing at bloodstock!

Now that is a testament to how much drive he has.

The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?

Unnatural Order: We try to put in as much energy as we can and engage with the crowd, an emotive performance is something we strive for every time and all we want to do is entertain. We will be having the time of our lives on that stage and we hope that it flows into the audience and that they enjoy themselves too.

The Razor's Edge: What day are you performing?

Unnatural Order: We will be playing on Saturday the 9th

The Razor's Edge: What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?

Unnatural Order: We are most excited to see Gojira, they have been a massive inspiration to Beau and his drumming over the last few years and to be playing at the same festival as them is really a dream come true!

The Razor's Edge: Playing the New Blood Stage is just the first steppingstone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?

Unnatural Order: We will be networking as much as humanly possible, we want to organise our own UK tour for next year and hopefully get in contact with some of the other new blood bands to perform with.

The Razor's Edge: Are you camping with the fans? Which campsite are you heading for?

Unnatural Order: We are camping in the artist campsite so that will be a great opportunity for networking and making friends with the other bands

The Razor's Edge: You’ve gotta keep hydrated at Bloodstock, what is your drink of choice for the weekend?

Unnatural Order: WATER!!!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER

The Razor's Edge: See you at Bloodstock in a next week!
