Bloodstock Bound: Thrasherwolf
As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and EMP stages at this years event.
Today we chat with Thrasherwolf
Please introduce yourselves.
Hey guys, Dan from Thrasherwolf here! We are a four piece thrash metal outfit from deepest south London! I am the front man and composser of the group as well as it’s friendly face on social media. Zaq is our resident drum king and kit master, he carries our thrash clock and keeps it ticking, providing the beats the pack knows and loves. Rai our resident four string maestro is our bass player and is responsible for providing the low end and the groove of our sound, he is full of creative ideas to that you can very often see during our live sets and lastly Brody, he is our newest addition and the Floyd rose wizard, his guitar playing is as unique as the man himself and his wonderful playing and musical engineering knowledge is proving essential in the new Thrasherwolf framework!
Catch us all on the New Blood stage where we will bring old classics, mosh pitting headbangers and maybe even something new!
How would you describe your sound?
We would describe ourselves as thrash, just thrash. No bells, no whistles, just pure unbridled…thraaaaaaash!
How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?
Hard work and toil! We were invited to play and we like to think we earned our place on the bloodstock lineup by showing our chops through our the scene as well as how much the pack has grown over the years. We have come a long way and we like to think that people can see and even hear our growth in our releases, leading up to the beginning of our next chapter and the beginning of our journey with the bloodstock family.
What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?
It means the world, the beginning of a new journey at our favourite festival we have dreamed of playing for years. Upon seeing the invitation email we were ecstatic and so excited!
For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?
They can expect pure carnage. Pits, walls of death, movement and the chance to join the pack in celebration of this glorious moment! Maybe even… something entirely new.

What day are you performing?
We are performing the Saturday on the New Blood and we cannot wait to bring the pack!
What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?
Death Angel and Municipal Waste being a two for certain. Plenty of others but it’d take up a whole page of A4 to name them all.
Playing the New Blood Stage is just the first steppingstone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?
Next step is to get representation in as many ways as possible for our 3rd album as well as for our equipment as there are tonnes of brands we would love to start relationships with. Then to hit as many festivals in the UK as possible and lastly build the pack globally even further by heading over seas to spread the word of thrash!
Are you camping with the fans? Which campsite are you heading for?
Will have to wait and see, maybe we are and maybe we aren’t, you’ll have to come and hunt us down.
You’ve gotta keep hydrated at Bloodstock, what is your drink of choice for the weekend?
I personally don’t drink as much as I used to but given the mood I can either be found with a desperado or a double cauvousier and coke.
See you at Bloodstock in a few weeks!
See you there guys! Wanna see you all upfront!
