Album Review: Pröwess - Blacktop Therapy

If you are unfamiliar with the sound of Prowess, then I hope this scenario helps paint a picture. It’s 07.00 am on a cold and wet morning in between Christmas and new year. I know damn well I am not the only poor soul who is having to go to work on this strange limbo of days, but the flickering festive lights on an otherwise dark neighbours house mock me.
I pull away from the house and begin to play Pröwess' 'Blacktop Theory' and almost immediately the world starts to change. The window of the drivers door drops down, and my arm rests in the void were the glass once was, my elbow sticking out in the cold. My left hand moves further around to the top of the steering wheel causing me to slouch back into a more relaxed position in the drivers seat.
The sleeves have fallen off my T shirt and I seem to be wearing a pair if Aviator sunglasses. My footwear has morphed into a pair of cowboy boots. My trousers now have a hole in each leg around my knees. It’s cold, damp and dark and it does not matter at all because I am listening to some kick ass Rock, N Roll.
Pröwess hail from North Carolina U.S.A. and this is their first full length recording after releasing two earlier E.P,s. With Classic Rock magazine voting the single 'Looking for a Bullet' their track of the week in May 2019 already, and a growing American fan base the world must surely be next for these hard rockin' boys.
If you have ever played air guitar along with Blackstone Cherry; if you have ever swigged Jack Daniels from the bottleneck and pretended you liked it while AC/DC play in the background; if you have ever drunkenly danced along to the Quireboys at your cousins wedding. I highly suggest Pröwess to brighten up a cold miserable morning.

I absolutely love PROWESS and all the great music they have to share with the world,they are excellent in performance as well?if you haven’t yet been to any of there shows,well all i can say to that is you have been missing out on some GRRRRR8 kick ass music! So don’t miss out any longer,GO SEE THEM!!? LOVE YOU ALL PROWESS AND FLORIDA IS MISSING YOU?????
