DEVIL’S ISLAND featuring Eternal

Welcome to this weeks edition of Devil’s Island! Every week we maroon a band or artist on the island and see what they get up to, how they cope with being all alone on a small island in the middle of the ocean. It’s not your average desert island and we’ll see just how each person copes with the extreme conditions.

This week when we arrived at Devil’s Island we find Eternal sat on the beach. The island is far from their home, so how did they end up here and how did they cope with life on Devil’s Island?

Find out now…

Welcome to The Razors’e Edge and our somewhat lovely, warm desert island. Don’t worry about it’s name I’m sure it’s not as bad as that would suggest.

We chose Master of Puppets by Metallica. It’s an all time classic, and with that album alone you can learn everything you need to know about tasteful metal. It really is the epitome of thrash metal. With its blistering riffs and forward thinking approach, it was ahead of its time and helped redefine the whole genre.

Spyros Pexos, lead guitarist: Rust in Peace by Megadeth.

Nick Pogas, singer and guitarist: Dio’s The Last in Line.

Alex Archaniotis, drums: Basically any Pantera poster.

Nick Tsaousis, bass: Any Dimebag Darrell poster.

Spyros: Beer.

Nick P: Paloma.

Alex: Gin and lemon juice.

Nick T: Beer.

Spyros: Guilt Trip hoodie.

Nick P: Malevolence bucket hat.

Alex: Anthrax long sleeve shirt.

Nick T: Mono Thrash T shirt.

We can all agree that the correct and only answer to that question is James Hetfield.

Metallica, Toronto, 1986.

That someone is Spyros, for sure. He’s just got the skills.

Definitely the bassist. Nick is getting eaten.

Spyros: Ronnie James Dio.

Nick P: Eddie Van Halen.

Alex: Nicko McBrain.

Nick T: Cliff Burton.
