Marvel-inspired Criminal Collective 'The Fangs Of The Dodo' Break Into National Treasury!
*The following article is a fictional news story regarding the UK-based rock band The Fangs Of The Dodo*
Five otherworldly individuals - now identified as the criminal outfit ‘THE FANGS OF THE DODO’ - have broken into the National Treasury this morning, in what has been described by police officials as “the crime of the century” and “a heist of unprecedented scale”.
The attack took place at 4:15am today, however the precise amount stolen by The Fangs of The Dodo (Led by the vampiric meta-human Count Dodo) is still yet to be established. A country-wide search for the Bath-based collective has since been authorised by government officials, and the Prime Minister has urged the general public to report any sightings of Count Dodo and his accomplices - identified only as Cinder, Hazard, The Prisoner and The Guardsman. He continued to warn that no attempts should be made to approach these individuals, who are believed to be armed and extremely dangerous.
The following news report was shot live on location shortly after the crime was reported to the police.
At this time, the exact motives behind this morning’s heist are unclear, yet speculations from some of the country’s top criminal experts suggest that The Fangs Of The Dodo have stolen funding from the National Treasury to create a collection of songs to unleash on the world in months to come.
Sources say that a note found on the scene of the crime hinted towards “Gothic art-rock that would wake up the world”, complete with a threat to “infect listeners with an inescapable and hypnotic creation, the likes of which are seldom seen in this world full of mindless sheep".
With their first recorded crimes taking place in 2017, this would not be the first time that the UK’s costumed criminals - seemingly inspired by Marvel and DC comic books - have used music to spread civil unrest. With their first music-related crime - the ‘Hopiates’ EP - surfacing in the summer of 2018, The Fangs Of The Dodo have held numerous music venues and events captive, including taking hundreds of hostages at both London MCM Comic-Con and Macmillan Fest. Their singles ‘Please Don’t Feed The Vultures’, ‘My Evil Twin’ and ‘Pretty Please’ have been attributed to the steady rise in criminal activities across the country.
