DEVIL'S ISLAND featuring Suspyria

Welcome to this weeks edition of Devil's Island! Every week we maroon a band or artist on the island and see what they get up to, how they cope with being all alone on a small island in the middle of the ocean. It's not your average desert island and we'll see just how each person copes with the extreme conditions.

This week when we arrived at Devil's Island we find Aussie rockers Suspyria sat on the beach. The island is far from his home, so how did he end up here and how did he cope with life on Devil's Island?

Find out now...

Welcome to The Razors'e Edge and our somewhat lovely, warm desert island. Don't worry about it's name I'm sure it's not as bad as that would suggest.

So you're marooned here on this island, but before you ended up shipwrecked you chose one album that you couldn't live without. Which album did you each chose and why?

Terence: The album in couldn’t live without, it’s a hard choice, but probably Phobia by Breaking Benjamin some of those songs are timeless.

Mitchell: Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold is my go-to, great album from front to back.

Chris: Dear Diary by First to Last is the album is most certainly would never tire of.

Beau: Back in Black by AC/DC, it’s something I could listen to on repeat until my ears burst.

Just behind that palm tree is a shack for each of you to stay in, with enough space for you to put up a poster on the wall of one album cover. What album cover do you each chose?

Beau: A Taylor swift poster because it gives me something to love on the island.

Terence: A big poster of The Siren Song of Counter culture by Rise Against. Always loved the artwork.

Mitchell: Master of puppets, because it looks sick.

Chris: A poster of Thy Art is Murder. Because they’re all studs.

There's also a bar on this here island. But alas each of you only get to choose one drink for the entirety of your stay. What's your tipple of choice?

Mitchell: I choose water because my muscles need hydration.

Terence: I could easily survive on purely just cups of Tea.

Chris: I honestly can’t go passed a Mountain Dew.

Beau: Not gonna lie, I drink at least 10 coffees a day, I think I’d die if I didn’t have coffee.

Your suitcases were lost when your ship sank, but you each managed to salvage one item of band merch. What’s the merch and for what band?

Mitchell: I don’t really own any band merch anymore; I have a batman mug if that counts?

Chris: I’d salvage and wear a pair of Justin Bieber underwear that’s it.

Terence: Do any bands sell beach towels as merch? Nothing is more important than a towel.

Beau: Literally any Taylor Swift Merch. She’s amazing.

You’re sat on the island thinking “I’m stuck here on this island with my bandmates for eternity”… who would you rather have been shipwrecked with?

Beau: Taylor Swift.

Chris: Joe Rogan, I could talk to him for hours about nothing and he could teach me martial arts.

Terence: Captain Jack Sparrow, we’d drink all the rum.

Mitchell: Tom Hanks so he can get me off the island.

DEVIL’S ISLAND featuring Suspyria

There's a walkman in your pocket, on the tape inside is the recording of the one live show that stands out for you. It could be any show, from any band, anywhere in the world. What show is on that walkman?

Terence: Avenged Sevenfold Live in LBC. That show made me want to become a guitarist.

You're getting desperate, you decide the only course of action is to put a message in a bottle and hope someone finds it. Your message could be to any member of any band, but should be the most suitable for a rescue attempt. Who is it?

Terence: Iron Maiden. They literally own a plane, and Bruce is a pilot.

You've been stuck here for a while and food supplies are running low. There's only one thing for it... which fellow band member gets sacrificed to help the others survive?

Terence:  Mitchell, he’s 103kg (16.2 stone) of lean steak. The only issue would be overpowering the big boy.

Finally, when the ship sank you each managed to save one person from the wreckage. That person is the one musician that has influenced your career the most, shaped your way of thinking and your outlook on life. Who did you save?

Mitchell: I’d save Terence, so I can keep making music with him.

Terence: Oh that’s awkward. I’d save Tim McIlrath because he’s a badass.

Beau: I’d save Taylor Swift, because she’s so brave and beautiful. Her music is amazing.

Chris: I’d save Mitchell, because he saved my life.
