Album Review: Inhuman Depravation - Servants of Supremacy

Inhuman Depravation are a Spanish brutal death metal act made up of a single member namely Oscar Company who has handled all instruments, vocals along with production since the inception in 2018. Since the band formed, Oscar under the name has already released two full lengths with a third Servants Of Supremacy due in June. The first two albums followed on from one another with post apocalyptic lyric subject matter and that has continued with the new output.
Let's be honest a band with the name Inhuman Depravation you are not expecting the most subtle musical output but it really caught me off guard with how viscous the release is. It’s headlined by an absolutely ungodly guitar sound, honestly it absolutely crushes.
Accompanying this rampage of riffs are some barbaric guttural vocals and electric drums which is the main driving factor in the record's brute force. The drums sit fairly high within the overall mix, with the kicks sounding like a bomb has gone off essentially giving each track a shot of adrenaline as they start. A thing that might not be to everyone’s taste is that most of the tracks don’t have a true intro, they just go off at 100 miles an hour, however Servants of Supremacy does contain a nice mix of fast past brutality and heavy groove with a couple of instances where the pinch harmonic use goes absolutely nuts and gives the record a very Putridity vibe.
Inhuman Depravation are not going to be everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to a death metal band. Oscar’s product is a far cry from the old school style which is quite popular at the moment, but that being said if you want to feel as if you have been audibly assaulted then Servants of Supremacy will have you feeling like you have spent 29 minutes with Tyson in his prime.
