Album Review: The Dust Coda - Loco Paradise

The Dust Coda celebrate a decade of producing rousing rock and roll this year, and to mark the occasion they release their third studio album ‘Loco Paradise’ via the legendary Earache Records this week.
What impresses about the band is their work ethic, in those ten years they have been on every tour possible, supporting a wide range of bands and getting out their in front of audience to build their brand and their reputation. With ‘Loco Paradise’ all that hard work is about to pay off, they are now an established name, they get a regular rotation on Planet Rock and things are about to kick off for them.
The album kicks off with ‘Road To Hell’, one of the songs getting regular play on the aforementioned Planet Rock. It’s a raucous rock affair and sure to be a staple of the live show going forward, it has hints of the sound Toseland was producing a few years ago and that’s no band thing!
The pace changes as the album progresses, ‘Fairweather Love’ has a softer feel to it, but soon builds with a passion to draw the listener in. They mix styles and sounds with great ease, the country twang of the intro to ‘Love Sick’ is a nice quirk, where as ‘Call Out the Dogs’ is an out and out rock banger as is ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Paradise’ a song I personally can’t wait to hear live.
In ‘Loco Paradise’ The Dust Coda have produced an album that will see them break through to the wider public consciousness. The world is the bands oyster and I can’t wait to see what they do next.
