Bloodstock Bound: Waterlines
As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and Jägermeister stages at this years event.
Today we chat with Waterlines!
The Razor's Edge: Please introduce yourself and your band mates.
Waterlines: We are Waterlines! Benji on vox, Tom on guitar, Mike on t’other guitar and Simon on Drums
The Razor's Edge: How would you describe your style of metal?
Waterlines: Hmm, metalcore heaviness, nu-metal grooves, EDM synths and melodies. We think it’s a bit different!
The Razor's Edge: How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?
Waterlines: We were one of the lucky few to make it through the applications process via Simon Hall (who seems to really like our sound and direction!)
The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?
Waterlines: I think Bloodstock will be a huge turning point for Waterlines! We’ve learnt a lot these last 12 months, this is our opportunity to lay it all out in front of one of the best crowds in the world. Words don’t do it justice, bloodstock is huge for us.
The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?
Waterlines: A lot of fun! We do this because we love it, we leave everything out on stage. We love crowd participation and a bloody good bounce! Bring your jumping shoes.
The Razor's Edge: What day are you performing?
Waterlines: We will be headlining the Jäger stage on Saturday 12th August
The Razor's Edge: What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?
Waterlines: Meshuggah and Knocked Loose!!
The Razor's Edge: Playing the Jager Stage is just the first stepping stone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?
Waterlines: The Sophie Stage! We definitely want to be invited back to BOA before too long! We have lots of plans for UK runs and we really want to get out to Europe again very soon! New music is really starting to flow now…
The Razor's Edge: Are you camping with the fans? Which campsite are you heading for?
Waterlines: We need a nice quiet corner to sleep after a heavy day! Some shade would be nice and not too far from the nearest bar!
The Razor's Edge: How many Jager shots will you be consuming over the weekend?
Waterlines: Six to eight hundred!
The Razor's Edge: See you at Bloodstock in a few weeks!
Waterlines: See you all there!! We’re very excited to bring new music, a new stage show and hopefully something a bit different for you all to experience this year! Lets go Bloodstock!!!
