The iconic KK's Steel Mill in Wolverhampton played host to a night of pure, unadulterated rock and roll, featuring the soulful sounds of Kira Mac and the headlining powerhouse that is The Answer. The venue's gritty atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable evening filled with raw energy and passionate performances.
Kira Mac wasted no time in grabbing the audience's attention with a set that showcased their versatility. The crowd was treated to a journey that spanned the bluesy depths of ‘Mississippi Swingin'’ to the rebellious spirit of ‘Chaos Is Calling’. Their set was a perfect warm-up for the main event, leaving the audience eager for more.
As The Answer took the stage, the anticipation reached a fever pitch, and they did not disappoint. Opening with the thunderous ‘Blood Brother’, the Irish rockers set the tone for a night of high-octane, soul-stirring tunes. The opening however was plagued by guitar pedal board issues, which had their guitar tech scratching his head.
As we waited for the technical issues to be fixed Cormac took a brief interlude to sing an Irish shanty, showcasing the band's ability to connect with their roots while keeping the audience entertained in this brief outage. As we kick back off ‘Nowhere Freeway’ blending classic rock elements with a contemporary edge.
Throughout the set, The Answer treated fans to a mix of timeless favourites and tracks from their latest release. ‘Solas’ and ‘Wild Heart’ stood out as highlights, with the audience singing along to every word. The anthemic ‘Come Follow Me’ brought an infectious energy that reverberated through the venue, creating a communal experience that captured the essence of live rock and roll.
The encore was a crescendo of excitement, featuring the pulsating ‘Always Alright ‘that left the crowd yearning for more. The Answer closed the night with an electrifying rendition of ‘Demon Eyes’ leaving no doubt that they are a force to be reckoned with in the world of rock music.
