Bloodstock 2022: Introducing - Ireosis
As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and Jägermeister stages at this years event.
Today we chat with Ireosis!
The Razor's Edge: Please introduce yourself and your band mates.
Ireosis: Hi, we’re IREOSIS a 5-piece metal juggernaut from Yorkshire (Leeds and Rotherham)
Chris Bingham – Vocals

The Razor's Edge: How would you describe your style of metal?
Ireosis: It’s a mix of all things metal, it’s written as a transfer of energy type thing. Intense but also calm, huge and ultimately crushing. We’ve tried to build something different but also clearly show influences and the things about heavy music we love.
The Razor's Edge: How did you land your spot on the Bloodstock bill?
Ireosis: We applied through the submissions route. Guess they really liked it because here we are. Couldn’t be more chuffed.
The Razor's Edge: What does playing at Bloodstock mean to you?
Ireosis: It’s a milestone on hopefully a much bigger journey. We have our eyes set on that mainstage, we’ve seen others get there from New Blood and we intend on bringing the music hard until we achieve the same. Amazing festival full of amazing people……really is a metal mecca.
The Razor's Edge: For people who’ve never seen you live, what can they expect at Bloodstock?
Ireosis: Full on metal, heads down see you at the end riff-a-thon! Sign-a-longs and just an awesome experience. We’ll be having a blast playing it, with a few tricks up our sleeve so come and be a part of it!
The Razor's Edge: What day are you performing?
Ireosis: Friday, so hopefully people are full of energy and ready to go insane. Let’s make history here and make people regret missing us!
The Razor's Edge: What other bands are you looking forward to watching at Bloodstock this year?
Ireosis: So many…what a mental line up!!! ***takes deep breath**
GWAR, Doyle, Red Method, Exodus, Testament, Discharge, Eyehategod, Hellfekted, Nomadus, Pariah, Mastiff, Pupil Slicer, Samael, BTK, Dark Tranquillity, Lost Society, SYLOSIS, Jinjer, Dimmu, Behemoth, Lamb of God, Killing Joke, Cattle Decapitation and loads of others hahahaha!
The Razor's Edge: Playing the New Blood Stage is just the first stepping stone in a bands journey. What’s next in your plans for world domination?
Ireosis: Definitely Sophie and Main stage at Bloodstock, Download could be cool, Hellfest and Graspop would be absolutely amazing too! Basically, any one that’ll have us but yea, we think we’re onto something good here and would like to take it as far as we can. The guns are loaded and the ammo’s primed.
