Stonedead Festival Announce 2020 Line Up

Stonedead Festival Announce 2020 Line Up

Since Stonedeaf Festival 2019 ended (see our coverage here) there's been a shake up at their HQ. Following a rebrand they are back for their third year in 2020 as STONEDEAD FESTIVAL. New name but still one day, one stage, one monster rock show!

This year headlining the event will be Black Star Riders with special guests still to be announced. Also added to the bill are Tyketto, Kris Barras Band, Blaze Bayley, Tygers of Pan Tang and Mike Gray featuring Kim Jennett. The opening band will be decided by a fan poll running over the next few weeks.

Black Star Riders are currently one of the greatest rock bands around. Formed in 2012 with Ricky Warwick (Vocals), Scott Gorham (Lead Guitar), Robbie Crane (Bass) Chad Szeliga (Drums) and Christian Martucci (Lead Guitar). They are often billed as the next step in the evolution of Thin Lizzy. However BSR offer far more that that: rock anthems with skilfully intertwined guitars, extremely powerful vocals with a unique sound designed to leave you wanting more. Certainly a fitting headline act for the Stonedead 2020 Tommy Vance stage.

World-renowned New York AOR melodic hard rockers Tyketto, fronted by Danny Vaughan offer a plethora of trademark melodies filled with riffs that fans know and love. Southern blues influenced hard rock doesn’t get much better than the Kris Barras Band fronted by UK guitarist and vocalist Kris Barras; it is an explosion of gritty, hard rock blues, with killer riffs.

Birmingham’s very own Blaze Bayley returns to Newark having previously performed in 2018 with Wolfsbane; this time bringing a UK summer exclusive of his Iron Maiden years. Tygers of Pan Tang hail originally from Whitley Bay and fully capture the raw spirit of classic NWOBHM. Tygers of Pan Tang bring their full swagger and galloping riffs for our pleasure and enjoyment. Myke Gray from the hard rock band Skin has joined with Kim Jennett. This collaboration brings a new vibe to Skin songs, as well as showcasing her own material; the songstress exudes a passion for rock’n’roll.

The legend that is Krusher Joule will once again be acting as compere for the day. Stonedead’s stellar line-up aims to excite both classic and new rock fans in providing a unique one day, one stage festival where the music is loud, the beer and food are
priced competitively and you can camp / park 5 minutes from the arena.
