DEVIL'S ISLAND featuring Bleed Again

Welcome to this weeks edition of Devil's Island! Every week we maroon a band or artist on the island and see what they get up to, how they cope with being all alone on a small island in the middle of the ocean. It's not your average desert island and we'll see just how each person copes with the extreme conditions.

This week when we arrived at Devil's Island we find Bleed Again sat on the beach. The island is far from their home, so how did they end up here and how did they cope with life on Devil's Island?

Find out now...

Welcome to The Razors'e Edge and our somewhat lovely, warm desert island. Don't worry about it's name I'm sure it's not as bad as that would suggest.

So you're marooned here on this island, but before you ended up shipwrecked you chose one album that you couldn't live without. Which album did you each chose and why?

James: Id take Meteora by Linkin Park as its probably the main reason I'm in a band today. I also think its a better album then Hybrid Theory!

Sam: Biffy Clyro - Opposites… It’s just a masterpiece of an album. There’s huge/heavy sections, beautiful stripped back sections and start to finish just clever, incredible songs!

Jordan: The 1975 I like it when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it, this is an album I never get bored of and spent my teenage years listening to its great start to finish

Just behind that palm tree is a shack for each of you to stay in, with enough space for you to put up a poster on the wall of one album cover. What album cover do you each chose?

James: Probably this artwork to this album as its the only one i have ever designed myself haha

Sam: Any Shakira album. No particular reason.

Jordan: The Stone Roses debut I love the abstract paintwork and lemons in place of the words.

There's also a bar on this here island. But alas each of you only get to choose one drink for the entirety of your stay. What's your tipple of choice?

James: Vodka

Sam: I’d ordinarily say an Old Fashioned… But I imagine I’d get bored eventually so a Long Island Iced Tea. As much alcohol as possible, briefly shown to a glass bottle of coke.

Jordan: Jack Daniels

Your suitcases were lost when your ship sank, but you each managed to salvage one item of band merch. What’s the merch and for what band?

James: Probably my Parkway Drive windbreaker

Sam: The most sentimental item would be a long sleeve t-shirt I managed to order online from the Linkin Park Chester Hollywood Bowl memorial show, sadly couldn’t go but it means a lot to me!

Jordan: Hoodie, architects

You’re sat on the island thinking “I’m stuck here on this island with my bandmates for eternity”… who would you rather have been shipwrecked with?

James: Anyone else

Sam: My brain says Bear Grylls but my heart says my golden retriever and Margot Robbie... I mean, my girlfriend…

Jordan: Anyone 😂

There's a walkman in your pocket, on the tape inside is the recording of the one live show that stands out for you. It could be any show, from any band, anywhere in the world. What show is on that walkman?

James: Linkin Park - Live In Texas. It’s just too good!

Sam: Either Linkin Park - Rock Am Ring 2007 (Chester was on fire) or Foo Fighters a London, Wembley 2008.

Jordan: Led zeppelin the song remains the same

You're getting desperate, you decide the only course of action is to put a message in a bottle and hope someone finds it. Your message could be to any member of any band, but should be the most suitable for a rescue attempt. Who is it?

James: I reckon Jack Black of Tenacious D could do a fine job!

Sam: So this is a message in a bottle to a member of any band who I’d trust to rescue me/us? Okay erm… Dave Grohl, just because he seems like a legend and would probably send help of some sort.. Maybe just Pat Smear in a dingy.

Jordan: Sam Carter

You've been stuck here for a while and food supplies are running low. There's only one thing for it... which fellow band member gets sacrificed to help the others survive?

James: Id say Jordan as he was the last one to join, but I’m sure the rest of the guys would say me as there would be more to go around..

Sam: Chris as he’s the tallest/biggest so more ‘meat’. Next!

Jordan: Ooo touchy 😉

Finally, when the ship sank you each managed to save one person from the wreckage. That person is the one musician that has influenced your career the most, shaped your way of thinking and your outlook on life. Who did you save?

James: If he was alive, Chester Bennington, but for the sake of this very realistic scenario.. Jesse Leach Of Killswitch Engage

Sam: Why was Dappy from N Dubz on the same boat as us? But seriously - I’m not sure which singular Musician I could pick.. Maybe Chester Bennington just for the vocals and Linkin Park literally made me listen to and fall in love with heavier music.

Jordan: Micheal Thomas Bullet for my valentine
