New York’s Viserion aim to metamorphose black metal with a new line up and single 'Reborn in Darkness'

Emerging in 2019, taking their name from the resurrected ice dragon from Game of Thrones Viserion have spent the last few years crafting a cross-genre sound their newest effort is inspired by the game Destiny and the character Oryx who corrupts others known as ‘The Taken’ and the track is the depiction of the brutality inflicted in his battle against the light.

Single Review: Viserion - Reborn in Darkness

The track is bold, infernal and has a commanding presence from the outset. Vocalist Benedetto “Slaughter” Marvilli regales the story in the most repulsive fashion, his growls and scream really add some venom into the tale whilst the rest of the band line up in battle to assault the listener with thunderous drums and savage guitar parts.

A good story backed up with some great atmosphere – looking forward to seeing what is next for the band

A fresh start full of fury.
