Since 2007 Basement Torture Killings have been telling tales of their ghastly crimes with a demo, five full length records and a few splits combined with taking their murderous live act to stages all over the world. Five years since the release of the band's most recent collection of tales they are back with four new tracks of murderous death grind which the band are releasing independently titled The Gallery of Monsters Pt 1.

Instantly Basement Torture Killings absolutely rip through the speakers with some of their most savage material as the opening track “The Strangler” begins. It is a furious display of grinding guitar work with punishing drums and the energy this track provides at the beginning of the EP is really superb. This high octane energy is a continued trend throughout with each track you are hit with that same intense no frills death grind approach.

The production on The Gallery of Monsters Pt 1 is also absolutely top notch thick and with a nasty edge to it keeping with the style that the band have been producing over the almost two decades of doing what they do. It's a fairly short release in all around thirteen minutes over the four tracks and it keeps you hooked all throughout as along with writing killer relentless grind the band also deliver great groove with their material. Finalising the release is a rotten duel vocal performance mixing aggressive lowa and sharp high techniques.

Basement Torture Killings deliver another consistent release which continues the band's legacy. They remain as consistent as ever as they produce another absolute belting release which will no doubt be followed by extensive touring over the UK. Gallery of Monsters Pt 1 does not miss and sets up for what we expect will be more coming from the band sooner than later.
